Good morning! What a week it has been! I'm ready to rest. Actually, I was ready on Wednesday to just relax and enjoy our new liivng space. But things just kept happening and so now, here on Friday, maybe I can get my wish.
Last Friday some of the furniture came over, then Saturday our beds and some clothes and other stuff came over, and on Monday and Tuesday, it was really big days for some small stuff. I still have about six boxes sitting behind me to go through. Wednesday when we came home with MORE STUFF, I looked around and realized that this was enough. It was time to decide if things were going to go into storage downstairs or be put towards the yard sale or just thrown out.
Yesterday, we had to take Pumpkin to the doctors and found out she has bronchitis.

Obviously, I am having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what is allergies and what is a cold. But Thursday night when she was running a slight fever, I knew exactly what I would be doing yesterday.
Actually, for whatever reason, the move has really messed up our systems. I have only had one night so far where I slept straight through the night without waking. All the other nights have been waking every few hours with my mind racing far ahead of me. I haven't felt stressed or anything. In fact, I find there is a warm and comforting peace about this place. I'm not quite sure what is going on. It's just been one of those things.
So today, it is all about relaxing, healing, putting things away and enjoying where we are.
I will say, one of the things that needs some extra TLC is our new high speed internet connection. For whatever reason, the connection to next door suddenly turns off. If the wind blows just right, POOF! Gone! Honey is pretty annoyed, but for me, we have it some of the time and we have one less bill. So if we do have moments where we can't connect, THAT is the price we pay because eventually, it does come back on. He doesn't agree, but I have to say, I'll fight him on this one because it is what it is, and it's okay!
Speaking of okay, it's time for me to get going. I am really hoping that by the end of the day, there will be no more things in moving boxes up here. In between times, I hope to sneak back onto the stream and do some badly needed catching up.
Cheers! ~MacKenzie
